The results of the study, rather than ending the controversy, only added to it.

a. The results of the study, rather than ending the controversy, only added to it.
b. The results of the study, rather than end the controversy, only added to it.
c. The results of the study, rather than ended the controversy, only added to it.

-----------

Which of these do you think is correct? In my opinion, (a) is correct, (b) is probably correct, and (c) is wrong.
