the relationship between man and suit is symbiotic

The movie clip starts like this:

In the right hands, the relationship between man and suit is symbiotic. The suit has power; the man harnesses that power.

Is it correct in context to have no article for 'man' or 'suit' as shown above?

I barely hear 'the' before 'suit' but it could be from 'd' of 'and'.
