The register of "come here a miunte"

Hi,

I heard that the expression "come here a minute" is considered low-brow.

Is that so ? Would I pass for an uneducated guy who lives up in the sticks, if I occasionaly throw in that expression ?

Thanks !

Not low-brow at all-- just informal English. I use it constantly.

"Me and my friend went to the movies" is low-brow.
"Come here a minute" is perfectly fine!
