The reason being

Hi

Would you say that these sentences are fully natural? Any suggestions please?

  1. He was late again, this time the reason being a flat tire.
  2. She resigned (from) her job, the reason being ill health.
  3. I promised to myself that I would never see her again, the reason being her deceitful nature.
  4. She disliked him immensely, the reason being he constantly reminded her of her first husband. (clause)

Thanks,

Tom

I'm not sure but I think:

1. He was late again, this time, the reason being a flat tire.

2. She resigned (from) her job, the reason being, ill-health.

3. I promised myself that I would never see her again, the reason being, her deceitful nature.

4. She disliked him immensely, the reason being, he constantly reminded her of her first husband.
