the R sound

00I'm teaching students Phonics now, and I'm curious about how you native speakers pronounce the "r" sound. Somehow I find the way you pronounce it is different from how we pronounce the "r" sound in Chinese symbols. 02br
00Do you have to keep your tongue elevated and 01b00really close to the hard palate02b00, or just keep it elevated? Are your lips a bit rounded up when you pronounce it?02br

0 Hi,02br 00I think it is difficult to explain. I believe there are many kinds of R's in English. I learned how to do the American R, but British R's are different, I guess.
