The question "in which fields is data useful for my query?"

I need to make a query in a database but I don't know what fields I should use for this query, so I have asked a specialist what fields are useful for my query and he has explained me the fields but I am still confused and I want to ask him about the data in the fields he has explained me. So how can I ask him, can it be "in which fields is data useful for my query?", is it a correct pattern and question?

On the other hand, I think the questions "in what rooms are telephones
