The pronunciation of 'same' is [sem] or [Seim]? I think both are fine and acceptable. What do you native English speakers think? Thank you so much as usual.

In standard British English, RP, it can be only /se?m/, a diphthong, with the starting point close to the IPA cardinal vowels [e] or [?]. In other varieties of BrE, there is a wide range of variation, some of them diphthongs, some monophthongs.
Same rhymes with name, game, and tame. To pronounce it as rhyming with stem, hem, and them is not right (this is a major pronunciation error which is very often made by non-native speakers).
