The pronunciation of 'excess'
excess can be noun or adj.
and it has two pronunciations as in [ik'ses, 'ekses]
I'm wondering whether both of them can be used either in its noun form or adj form? or [ik'ses] for noun? ['ekses] for adj?

I only ever pronounce this word [ek'ses] whether I am using it as a noun or an adjective. I do not think that the pronunciation depends on how the word is being used but on how a person pronounces the word.
