The pronunciation of ‘AAA’

How would you pronounce ‘AAA’ in ‘AAALAC’ (which stands for the Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care)?

Like ‘a’ in ‘father’? Or like ‘a’ in ‘baby’? Which is commoner? (Or otherwise?)

Thank you, AlpheccaStars.

Thank you, CalifJim. What you say makes sense. I’ve sent an email to AAALAC themselves asking about this.
