The principal concern is

Can someone explain to me if the words 'The principal concern is' are common English.
I want to say that I'm worried the most about the relationship (due to correlations in regressions) between internet and mobile phones.

Sample sentence:

" The principal concern is the relationship between the variables ‘Internet’ and ‘Mobile’. "

Pvunderink an someone explain to me if the words 'The principal concern is' are common English. Yes, but your punctuation or phrasing for the rest of your sentence is odd. I suggest: The principal concern is the relationship between between the internet and mobile phones.

You are using the wrong word. You need principle. But this is a correct use.

Principal: Primary, main, most important.

I am among the many who mix these up a lot.
