I'm curious about which one is correct when we refer to a president.
I've already had some time googling to check which one is more frequently used and found out that "President Trump" is much more used than "The president Trump".
So.. I'd like to believe both are correct, but I once heard from a native English speaker that "The president Trump" is wrong and I have to just simply write "President Trump", but I have been suspicious whether his answer was really right because I've actually come across "The president Trump" is used even in the title in this US government homepage: ( https://gt.usembassy.gov/statement-by-the-president-donald-trump-to-celebrate-lgbt-pride-month/)
So... what I want to know are...
1. Are both all correct ?
2. If both are correct, are these expressions also correct?
"The scientist Isaac Newton" and "Scientist Isaac Newton".
Thank you very much for your help!
fire1 I've already had some time googling to check which one is more frequently used and found out that "President Trump" is much more used than "The president Trump". That's not surprising. But Googling "the president Trump" will give you hits on structures like the following, where "the president" refers to the president of Turkey, and "Trump" refers to the person speaking: "I'm a big fan of the president," Trump said.
