The present tense v.s. the past tense

Regarding the following two sentences:

(A) Considering that she was a beginner, she did the job quite well.

(B) Considering that she is a beginner, she did the job quite well.

I think there's no problem with (A), but what about (B)? Is it possible fore example, when she did the job just yesterday and the people around her still think that she is a beginner?

Besides, which do you usually use in a case like I mentioned above?

If she is still a beginner and the event happened fairly recently then you can use (B). Otherwise use (A).

  • If she is still a beginner and the event happened fairly recently then you can use (B).
