The Power of the Words

Hello!

Could you please check the paragraph below?

When I was at my third year at university, I remember one of my Literature Professors coming to class one day and intoducing the very first time of the great power of the ‘’words’’; how words could change the history of mankind and started wars throughout the times or managed to make people happy. Later on, this lecture focused on the British Comedy genre. After several examples given in this field, our professor started to talk about The Merry Wives of Windsor, a comedy by William Shakespeare. The lecture was so effective and strangely intriguing that I can still remember from this very useful lecture that The Windsor of the play's actual title is simply a reference to Windsor Castle located in Berkshire, England.

Oh, now I understand. I think the model could that I used at the beginning of the sentence affects the second and even my third sentences. Because of this, all of the verbs in the sentences following the first, should be used in bare forms. Am I right?
