(The power)

Hi,
"We have shut off power" / "we have lost power"
or
"We have shut off the power" / "we have lost the power"

I see both. Power (electric) is an abstract noun, so I think no article is best.

The government regulates the price of water / electricity / power / gas. (A general commodity.)

We shut off the power before installing a new outlet in the house. (A specific service.)
