The possessive or "of" genitive?

Hi. Would it be incorrect or wrong to write "the action's consequences" or "the sin's consequences" in sentences instead of the more usual (I think they are used more often) "the consequences of the action" or "the consequences of the sin"?

eg,

A person should reflect on the action's consequences before trying to reconcile his relationship with ...

A person should reflect upon the sin's consequences before trying to move on to the next step of ...

I would not say that it was wrong, but it is rather odd to my ear compared with your other choices.
