Hi, Here's my question:
I walk into a store where I usually buy newspapers. The cashier informs me their Saturday shipments got cancelled due to a problem with the supplier. I say:
1. "Oh. When are you going to get newspapers?
2. "Oh. When are you going to get the newspapers?
Is it correct that I can use #1 (no article) if I mean "any newspapers/some newspapers" and #2 (the newspapers) if I mean a group that has already been determined and is definite (in this case, the newspapers that were supposed to be delivered this Saturday but weren't)? In this context, I choose #2.
Thank you.
Of the two,I'd prefer #2. But more natural is eg Oh. When are you going to get them?

or
eg Are you going to get any tomorrow?
