The plans below show the site of an airport now and how it will look after redevelopment next year.
The map below gives information about the structure of Southwest airport now and after renovation next year. Overall, there are some significant changes in the airport such as the appearance of more gates, functional areas and in the departures and arrivals for passengers
According to the given illustration, the current construction of the airport can be divided into three parts: departures, arrivals and the north side. In the departures, there is a check-in area on the left and this area is opposite to the cafe, which is at the right corner of the departures. The place for security and passport control is beyond the check-in and the cafe. The arrivals part has a certain space for passport control and customs. There are 8 gates connected to the walkway on the northside of this airport.
The airport after redevelopment has some remarkable changes, which are clearly displayed in the diagram. The departures will have more functional places such as: Bag drop, cafe and the check-in. The check-in and the cafe will be changed for their new locations. The security and passport control will be maintained. A new cafe and ATM are predicted to be built on the right side of the airport. The arrivals are also extended to build a place for car hire. Especially, between the walkway and the area of departures and arrivals, there are some shops which are on the left side and beyond the security and passport control. The walkway of this airport will have more gates, exactly 12 gates and the appearance of the sky train in the center of this area.
