In Australia, the majority of electricity was manufactured by coal, in which a half electricity units in 1980 rose to 130 units over the time period. It saw a similar proportion of production by hydro power and natural gas, with 20 units while only 10 units produced by oil in 1980. After 2 decades, hydro power was the second popular energy to manufacture electricity, with 36 units.
In terms of France, natural gas, coal and oil contributed the similar proportion in electricity production with 25, 25 and 20 units, respectively. Over 20-year period, nuclear was responsible for nearly three quarters of production while oil and coal together produced 50 units.
