The phone credit or the phone's credit?

Hello everyone, I have a doubt about these sentences:

a) I recharged the phone credit
b) I recharged the phone's credit

I thought that b) was the correct way of saying it, but I have seen in some webs the first sentence as well. Would anyone mind explaining to me which one is correct and why? Thank you for your time.

I recharged my phone. (It has full battery power.)

I added funds / money to my cell phone account. (You paid for past or future usage of your phone.)

Thank you very much for your help.

There is still something I don't understand.

In that example sentence you wrote, "I added funds to my cell phone account", why is it not: "I added funds to my cell phone's account"?

Sig"I added funds to my cell phone account", why is it not: "I added funds to my cell phone's account"?
Because the account is yours, not your phone's.

Compare:
I adjusted my girl friend's necklace.

The necklace belongs to your girl friend.
