Hi. I’m interested in one topic, connected with the past tenses. I am going to show you 2 examples.

1. I have stolen Mike’s money, because he pissed me off.

2. I stole Mike’s money, because he had pissed me off.

Which one do you think would be appropriate? On the one hand the first action has a clear result. I have his money, but on the other hand I explain the reason of stealing the money in the past.
