Which is possible to be used?

He helped his father prepare ingredients such as cucumbers, onions and the others / others / so on.

P/s: do we have any other suitable words to be used?

if the father prepares the same stuff all the time: the others, because you know what they are. If you just happened to see him prepare: others. And so on seems fine too, only it sounds more blurry.

You don't need "and others" because you already have "such as", which conveys the same idea.

He helped his father prepare ingredients such as cucumbers and onions.
He helped his father prepare cucumbers, onions, and other ingredients.
