3. What did he do when he came back from Tokyo?

Aside from Sentence 1, is either of the next sentences correct?

I was just wondering if Sentence 2 was incorrect. I typed the sentence on Yahoo search and Google search, and there was no search result with similar usage. It is wonderful to have a kind native speaker like you to confirm that Sentence 2 is correct.
