The opposite of lazy = diligent?

Would it be correct to presume that the opposite of lazy is ''diligent'?

Top answer

"Lazy/Diligent" would work if you're talking about whether or not an employee gets his job done. If you're talking about whether someone spends his free time lying on the couch watching tv or training for marathons, "lazy/energetic" would work better.
