The opening of an essay

The following is the opening of an essay. I am not sure if that are correct(I mean grammer or structure).

Which one is better?

1) If asked the question that which city you prefer, different people have different opinions. As far as I am concerned, I would like to choose big city.

2) Different people have different opinions about choosing the city to live. As far as I am concerned, I would like to choose big city.

TIA

Hi, I would suggest "jumping right in" to writing the essay. What I mean is not to explicitly repeat the prompt of the essay at the very beginning. Instead, I suggest putting what you wrote at the end of the first paragraph.
