Unless we solve this problem, humans will soon be the only beings ______ on earth.
A.staying B.left C.over D.survived

This is a question in one of my English tests. My teacher said that I should choose survived.
I think we cannot use this word here because it would be "humans will soon be the only beings to be survived."
Please tell me if it is the correct answer.
