Can I say? Emotion: happy

I'm referring to the one [which is] most recently past. (using "past" as a subject complement - adjective)

as opposed to: I'm referring to the one [which has] most recently passed.

Ouch! I gave too little information. (I've been trying to cut down.)
I wrote the sentence elsewhere with "past," without the bracketed phrase.
Then I debated using "passed," realizing the meanings were different. Nevertheless, both meanings seemed to tell the story.
