The object for "to look out for"

Dear Teachers,

Hello. I read a sentence in an article as follows:

"Those are things to look out for in the months ahead."

My understanding is that the expression, "to look out for," should be treated as transitive verb, thus requiring one or more objective(s).

However, I could not figure out the objective for "to look out for" in the above-mentioned sentence.

Could you help me with this sentence?

Thanks and best regards,

David Kim

The complement of the preposition "for," or the phrasal verb "look out for" is "things."

"Those are things to look out for in the months ahead.
There are things that one should look out for.
One should look out for these things.
