the most friendly of the two

(a) Barbara is the more friendly of the two sisters.
(b) Barbara is the most friendly of the two sisters.

I think there is nothing wrong with (a), but I'm not sure if it's okay with (b). Actually, I have the feeling that I've occasionally seen this kind of structure. What is your take?
