Is it true that if you use the comparative in the first part of the sentence that you need to have a comparative in the second part of the sentence?

I know this is correct
The longer you leave it on, the bright it'll get.

Are these grammatically correct?

The light will get lighter as you leave it on longer.
The light will be lighter the longer you leave it on.
