Is the following sentence correct grammatically?

The more ideas you have, the better chances you have to improve your writing.

Maybe I'm wrong.

The richer you are, the better chance you have of X-ing.

That looks like a perfectly good sentence to me.

But I've been speaking English my whole life so I can't guarantee it's 100% grammatically correct.

If using have I would use of. The better your chances of improving your writing. I would try to lose have as it is in the first clause though.

The more ideas you have, the more likely you are to improve your writing.
