The money spent by governments on space programmes would be better spent on vital public services such as schools and hospitals. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

It is argued that governments invested in cosmos exploration should have used that money in order to develop the public services. I completely agree with that. My reasons will be explained in the following paragraphs

To begin with, space is a new field that has a lot of unexplored scientific topics and requires a lot of time to examine. In the past, humans have devoted a lot of time to understanding about the cosmos. But up until this point, our knowledge has been but a grain of sand. Additionally, it indicates that we have invested a significant sum of money in an uncertain endeavor. For instance, building a spaceship or satellite requires a significant amount of resources, which has an impact on the environment where we live.

On the other hand, society's primary component is humans. People will not be able to develop completely without dedicated public services. For instance, kids would not be able to acquire a proper education if there are not enough educational institutions or if they lack the necessary funds and infrastructure. Schools are the source of future employment for society, so supporting education is crucial to the advancement of society. In a similar vein, our standard of living would decline in the absence of an effective healthcare system. For instance, without a universal health care system, people would have to spend a lot of money on their health, which would have a negative effect on the economy.

In conclusion, I believe we should concentrate on social health and human growth rather than searching for other planets.
