In the ever-shifting 21^st century, there is an enormous alteration in family structure and responsibility of every member. From my perspective, this issue has offered considerable benefits to society; however, its drawbacks should not be underestimated.

On the one hand, the hectic pace of the city life has created a decent impact on families. These days, the number of females having equal career opportunities and right as males has been increasing significantly. As a result, the modification has contributed to the rejection of sexual stereotypes of breadwinner for men and women. The alterationalso experdites the gender equality in which women do not need to sacrified their ambitions to put their family first. More and more young couples who need to maintain their economic euilibrium as well as build up empires have golden opportunies to accumulate wealth to boost a decent standard of living and provide children with a worthy education.

On the other hand, it is essentially important to fully asess the pernicious influence of these radical changes on each family. Recent years have witnessed the growing trend towards marrital breakdown which brings about many divorcees either remarry or cohabit with another partner. Children consequently find it hard for them to retain a loving family environment, feel compatible, lend a sympathetic ear to each other or give friendly confidential advice because of lacking parents’ control and careful nurture. Gradually, those things can generate incompatible emotions, a sense of loneliness and isolation which lead to a greater likelihood of their marriage ending in divorce.

In conclusion, in a constantly changing and competitive society, the modification of family structure and responsibilities among family members have both the merits and demerits. Therefore, all members should know hot to reconcile their career aspirations and personal ambitions with the mental, physical, emotional and spiritual needs of their family.
