'The meeting this afternoon'

All of a sudden, I was wondering if this structure is possible, 'The meeting this afternoon was really boring'.
So my question is that 'this afternoon' can modify 'The meeting' in the sentence? Or it should modify 'verbs' only?
Thank you as always and I hope to hear from you.
