The meaning "would" and "weird" in a certain context

Regina gave some candies to other classmates except for Gretchen.
So, Gretchen intends to say a secret about Regina to one of the classmates who got candies from her.
Gretchen: No offense, but why would she send you a candy cane? She doesn't even like you that much. Maybe she feels weird around me because I'm the only person that knows about her nose job. Oh my god. Pretend you didn't hear that.
