Hi there, could you please tell me the meaning of "Two down, two to go". I found the expression from an image caption, and it goes like this:"

I have 4 things to do. (Or any number of things to do)
I do 2 of them. That's 2 completed, 2 down.
I still have 2 to complete, that's
2 to go.

Perhaps Zidane said he would score 4 goals. I didn't look at the link
