Hi.

I have trouble in understanding the meaning of the sentence below.


His strong performances against many of the east coast's best players have made him one game's up-and-coming players to watch.


I understand the part until the latter part that is underlined.

I don't understand the underlined part.


Could you please tell me the meaning and explain why it comes to the meaning?
