The meaning of the preposition

A person does evaluating antiques for a living and one of his associates tells him,

"Some of those sellers are dangerous, you need to take security on this job"

What does the on signify here? I tried to look it up in a dictionary myself and I'm not sure which one matches it.

Thank you
