the meaning of "until"

if there is already a similar post here, i am sorry.

I would like to ask the precise meaning of a word "until" from the following example.

I find a sentence below from credit card's terms and conditions:

"0% Fixed APR until the first day of your billing cycle that includes 1/1/07."

Suppposing the billing cycle that includes 1/1/2007 is 12/16/2006-1/15/2007, I would like to know whether the 0% APR cover to 12/15/2005 or to 1/15/2007.

Thanks a lot

I believe that the 0% APR would go until Dec. 15. The new rate will begin on the first day of the billing cylce that includes 1/1 - so if that's Dec.

  • I believe that the 0% APR would go until Dec.
  • 15.
  • The new rate will begin on the first day of the billing cylce that includes 1/1 - so if that's Dec.
  • 16, the old rate ends the day before.

It should be from 12/15/2006 to 1/15/2007 in your example

The 0% APR will cover any time from the date of offer leading up to and including 12/15/2006
