The meaning of "Pro-noun" and "Do"

Dear teachers,


I would like to know whether my understanding regarding the underlined sentence is correct.


Bill Whitaker: So why are they getting the jobs and the Americans are losing them?

Why are they not being done by American workers?

=> Why are the jobs not being gotten by American workers?
