1. Existing or remaining within; inherent: believed in a *** immanent inhuman beings.

Primary meaning = intrinsic to or embedded in.
The word was much used by theologians since
Aquinas, usually to express that something in
the world (or society) should be perceived that
proves ***'s purposes are immanent in the
world.
The word is also used in other contexts;
people might say that democracy is
immanent in the act of casting a vote.

From the New Oxford Dictionary of English :

immanent
(adjective)

2 "*** is immanent in His creation"pervasive, pervading, permeating; omnipresent, ubiquitous, present everywhere; rare permeative, suffusive, permeant.

Why would that be helpful? Is it necessary for someone to tell us all about what he doesn't know about a word or topic, before he asks a question of those who may know something about it? In less than a flash, I can write 1000 words on what I don't know about needlepoint. Would that be helpful?
