The meaning of dependences.

Hi, all,

I'm not sure what the dependencies mean in this context. This text is from a task managing application for iPhone. Does anyone have any idea to explain this to me? Just is case, I'll put the link of original text.

The original text simply says "creating dependencies between tasks" so it's hard to be certain. Obviously something in one task depends on something else in another task. What exactly it is is impossible to say.
