Dear all,
Could you tell me the meaning of “cover revenue” in the following sentence? Thank you very much.
ABC is a strat-up company. It needs investment from Techpro company in order to cover its revenue.

It sounds very odd indeed. I would expect "It needs investment in order to cover (=pay for) its expenses."

Money that 'covers' something is money that pays for it.
eg I have $20. That will cover the cost of lunch.

You cover costs or expenses. It makes no sense to cover revenue. The sentence has no sensible meaning.
