The meaning of "an Aquarian utopia"

the meaning of "an Aquarian utopia"

The passage below comes from Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari.

In such a band, a woman could have sex and form intimate bonds with several men (and women) simultaneously, and all of the band’s adults cooperated in parenting its children. Since no man knew definitively which of the children were his, men showed equal concern for all youngsters.

Such a social structure is not an Aquarian utopia. It’s well documented among animals, notably our closest relatives, the chimpanzees and bonobos.

I'm not sure about the meaning of the underlined 'Aquarian utopia'.
I've been through Internet looking for what that does mean but to no avail.

Maybe Aquarians are idealists, implying they are struggling to pursue something ideal without considering realities, things in the way of reaching that goal. Alas, that's a goal impossible to reach. So that kind of goal is called Aquarian utopia.

Am I right?

Regards.

Thanks a lot, Dave.

I've read the wiki-link you attached.
Here's what I extract from the page.

Since 'Age of Aquarius' refers to 'the heyday of the hippie and New Age movements', the author used the term, Aquarian utopia, to imply 'free ***' climate of that specific period and to compare that with archaic polygamous society.

Hi

Yes, you are exactly right. Although I didn't mention it in my previous post, many people of my age would associate the phrase with the stage musical Hair, 1967. The most famous song from it is usually referred to as 'The Age of Aquarius'

The show was renown at the time for its themes of hippy and drug culture, the peace movement and free love
