The man to open safes

What does Tom do in their gang?

a. Tom is the man to open safes.
b. Tom is the man for opening safes

c. Tom is their man to open safes.
d. Tom is their man for opening safes.

e. Tom is somebody to open safes.
f. Tom is somebody for opening safes.

Which of the sentence (a) to (f) are acceptable in this context?

I think the last two are out. I think (c) and (a) do not really work either...

Many thanks.
