The lint stuck my face.

Hi

Could you please tell me if this sentence is good English? Which word is the best choice: down, fluff or lint?

The towel was crappy. As I wiped my face, the lint/down/fluff stuck my face.

Thanks,

Tom

Some people, including me, feel 'crappy' is a rather vulgar word. I'd probably say eg The towel was fluffy. As I wiped my face, some of it stuck to me.

Mr. TomThe towel was crappy. [Argh! No! More likely the towel was new. Lots of lint at the beginning of a towel's life is a sign that it is a high quality towel.
