The line chart details the number of travellers to three different London museums over the period from June to September. Looking from an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that the number of visitors to British Museum and Science Museum increased while figures fell in Natural History Museum. British Museum was the most visited museum throughout the period.
Looking more specifically, British Museums began the period leading all figures at 600,00 visitors, while the quantity of visitors to Science Museum was the lowest, at precisely 400,000 people. Through July, British Museum saw a steep increase in the number of visitors, followed by a precipitous fall to 500,000 in the August before a partial recovery to end the period at 620,000. In contrast, Science Museum remained between 300,000 and 420,000 throughout the period with a low point in August and a peak in Septemper.
Turning to Natural History Museum, it was second to British Museum in June. However, its figure began to fall significantly before hovering at just under 400,000 visitors and increasing slightly to finish at 425,000, which nearly intersected with the line of Science Museum.
