the line chart illustrate the percentage of four different materials recycled between 1982 to 2010 in a particular country. overall, aluminium cans increased significantly over the period years while for others had a slight increase. as regards the propotion of recycling aluminium cans had a faster rise more than plastics. The percentage of plastics which was recycled began at 5% and then rising minimally to 9%. There was a dramatic growth in the percentage of aluminium cans from 4% in 1984 to 45% in 2010. in 1982, the number of recycling glass containers started at 50%. This figure which decreased to 40% after 8 years, rised slightly by 20% in 2010. Recycling paper and cardboard began at 60% in the first year, then went up and down in the next 20 years before falling to 70% in the final year.
