Grammar

the library

Hello,
Please have a look at this.

- What are you doing?
- I'm studing at an Internet café because the library is closed today.

Even if the conversation partner doesn't know which library I'm talking about or how many libraries my town has, is that answer correct? My town has only one library.

Well this seems not a grammar question but yeah I think you are right.

In your case, with only one library in town, 'the' is the only possible choice.

We often use the definite article with such words as library, post office, bank, etc ,even
