The letter Z

Has anyone seen the letter Z with a line through the diagonal bar? If so, does it have a special name? Does the bar have a particular purpose? I guessed the bar would be there to help the reader differentiate between Z and 2, for example. I always cross my Zs, I'd just like to find out more information on it.

Thanks!
