The Lees and The Lee's?

Q. Which of the following sentences is grammatically incorrect?
A. The Lee's had dinner at the Jones home.
B. The Lees had dinner at the Joneses' home.
C. The Lees had dinner at the Jone's home.
D. The Lees's had dinner at the Jones' home.

The answer is B.
...And why is it B? Is it possible that the answer the book says is wrong?

I chose D because I thought "The Lees's" is incorrect.

Also, I wonder what is the difference between The Lee's and The Lees.

The Lees (the members of the Lee family) had dinner at the Joneses' home (the home that belongs to the Joneses, i.e. to the Jones family).

I'm confused... The question is asking to choose the wrong answer. So B should be wrong and other should be right.

The Lees is their name. The Lees are on vacation now.
The Lee's is possesive. The Lee's house is very big.

B is the only one that is correct, not incorrect. There seems to be an error int he way the question is worded.

No, that's not correct. If the house belongs to more than one person with the surname Lee, it would be "the Lees' house."

"Lee's house" would be possessive for a single individual named Lee (Lee can be either a first name or a surname.)
"Mr. Lee's house" would be possessive for a singl

The question is faulty. There are three wrong answers!

'The Lee's house' also could be the possessive form of the Lee family's house. Could it not?

This is an old post but I came across this because I was confused with this question as well. On the evolve.elsevier website under book corrections .. this question is supposed to read "Which of the following sentences is grammatically CORRECT?" And B. The Lees had dinner at the Joneses' home is the correct answer.
